What responsible parent believes that a manipulated pass rate can really tell whether a school needs improvements? Not to mention that the manipulated pass rate is based on a secret 40 item multiple choice test and the results come in months after the children have completed that grade. And the state's version of "helping" is to provide a label based on that manipulated pass rate. _____________________________________________________________
Leaving aside the argument that a test seen by thousands and thousands of children and hundreds, maybe thousands, of adults is "secret," in saying that government runs schools for its own interests and not in the best interests of parents and children, you make an excellent argument for giving parents more choices about their children's education - some carry that to the extent of vouchers. You should be catching on to this by now.
