10/9/07 Jim: As you may have noted, DIBELS is being used down as "low" as kindergarten in Chicago, and one of our people is going to try to write about what's going on here every month (although she is rather frightened, since the dictatorship here has been nasty of late). This month (October, out next week) we're beginning that regular review of DIBELS, both in theory and practice. If you know of other people who'd like to join the fun, let us know (and ask them to subscribe to the print edition of Substance, since we can't survive without print subs).
