A new survey from produces more evidence that the public wants what NCLB is not providing and in fact is undermining - such as critical thinking and creativity. The survey results, in powerpoint, is at http://www.21stcenturyskills.org/documents/oct._10_launch_slides.ppt#7 The link to it came from David Hoff's Ed Week article that is online today, on NCLB battles, starting off with Bush's Rose Garden bs. I am quoted as supporting the local assessment provision in the Miller draft. Hoff then quotes Amy Wilkins' boilerplate response that it will allow inequity.
