Holy cow, I graduated class of 65 from Mamaroneck! I'm looking for my
yearbooks!
and the sailing team was Mamaroneck students but not affiliated with the
school

I don't know about where you lived, but there was NO girl's athletic
association
in my school. I graduated in 1963 from Mamaroneck HS, just outside of NYC.
Boys had football, basketball, baseball, track, bowling, cross-country,
swimming
and riflery. Girls had cheerleading, twirling, and sailing. And girls
received
no school letters or letter sweaters for any of their three activities.
