It's not my advice you want! But I do concur with the question. We had
our "goals and objectives" conference with our principal this week, and
she slapped down the SAT9 scores and asked us what areas of weakness we'd
identified, and what our goals were to improve those areas. When I
pointed out that some of those "areas" actually represented two
questions, I kind of got the Homer Simpson blank look. I wholeheartedly
agree that improving scores in reading and math, and improving reading
and math are seldom the same thing.
