We will keep the faith, Mike.  And certainly hope and pray you will as well.  
Surely you know, the teacher learns before he teaches...so we can all afford 
to practice more, and preach less.  

As it relates to our capacity to learn, we are all slow, and we are all fast 
...at different things.  We certainly should all help each other try, and if 
you refuse to try, then one day, some catastrophic failure will prompt that 
change for you.  

In response to your offer to be the "group schizophrenic", or the "class 
clown", if that's what you must do, then that's what you must do, Mike.  Noone 
knows each of us better than ourself.  That's why tests are never smart, and the 
people who use them even lesser: they purport to know someone better, they are 
instruments to a lie.  Certainly someone as bright as our Gov is capable of 
knowing that.  All the legal arguments in the world cannot change a lie to the 
truth.

So life goes on, and young men and women, and children and families die each 
day for one lie after another still to be concocted by greedy and impotent 
men.  In three classes of 27 students each today, I asked how many would fight 
for something they believe in after they all conclude that this President has no 
heart, no soul, much less a brain, only 2 raised their hand.  

It is an age of Terminators, robotics, and clones.  We have people qualifying 
and running for offices they are not qualified to fill, and we have a media 
machine that cranks out a reality disconnected enough to create its own reality.

So we worship anti-heroes and anti-Christs and trust in the iconery of their 
image.  And in all three classes, I finally found one, one single student who 
was truthful enough to tell everyone he has no self-confidence, no trust in 
anyone else,  and he is still trying to find himself.  

Mike, I hope we will continue to ask the tough questions which make each of 
us real on this listserv, we will rile less against the tide because ranting 
against W like Teddy is like pissing in the wind, not to mention wasting our 
valuable time and energy, and the only thing of worth to me and to you should be 
the child in front of us.

Beyond that we might as well all be cryogenized because the Ice Age will be 
back before we know it.
