Not only that, the answer key, I
believe, was in error. Do you agree? This was presented in chart form:
Boxes (b)/ magazines (n)
1 - 60
2 - 120
3 - 180

Question 1: Write a rule for how many magazines fit into a box.
They have as their answer 60n.

Isn't it 60b?

The format for boxes and magazines you present above is a table, not a
chart. In any event, the rule for how many magazines fit into a box is 1 box = 60
magazines. The rule for how many magazines fit into "B" boxes is N = 60B.
My guess as to where the 60N answer came from is that somebody is
interpreting the "N" analogously to, say, "MPH", so "60N" would read "60 magazines".
