Leaving aside the burning question of what concerns Dr. Hochstettler may
have, the success of American higher education is precisely a reason that some
people advocate vouchers -decentralizing down to the level of letting parents
and kids choose their schools would free public education from forces that
promote their own interests at the expense of the interests of parents and
kids.
