which I hope people here might find revelant. I was asked by the publisher, Columbia U Press, if I were willing to read Richard Kahlenberg's new book "Tough Liberal: Albert Shanker and the Battles over Schools, Unions, Race, and Democracy"

I decided I would read it and write about it, which so for I have done for Education Review - I may also write about it for various blogs
