Re: Environmental History / Ancient Greece
There's also some discussion of ancient environmental change in the
larger region in Thomas Homer-Dixon's The Up Side of Down:
Catastrophe, Creativity, and the Renewal of Civilization. An
interesting book - it needs some careful parsing, but it's worth
reading.
