Re: Thoreau on the Moose, Paul Theroux



I have to agree that Thoreau citing can be rather tiresome. After all, the man lived in a cabin a short walk from home and went back for cookies and to have his laundry done now and then.

He didn't like Indians much, either. So much for modern romanticism, though I find that moderns don't much like REAL Indians either. Only the ones in movies.
