Over the weekend several of our teaching brothers and sisters met to make plans for the upcoming Oakland A's "Teacher Appreciation Day" game on May 3rd. We're organizing a pre-game tailgate party, complete with sign-making and possibly a visit from the Angry, Tired Teachers band from Hayward. The idea is to do some friendly informational picketing prior to the game to raise awareness of the governor horrible budget. There will be prizes for the most cleaver signs about the budget with a baseball theme.
