Whose Problem Is Poverty?

According to author Richard Rothstein, if you send two groups of students to
equally high-quality schools, the group with greater socioeconomic
disadvantage will necessarily have lower average achievement than the more
fortunate group. The latest Educational Leadership examines why this is so,
as well as how acknowledging the effects of socioeconomic disparities on
