Just got back from seeing Body of War, which is marvelous. The story of a guy shot in the shoulder his 5th day in Iraq who is paralyzed from there down. Extremely intimate, brave, funny (yes, funny), and well done. My favorite two funny lines: asking vets to vote for Bush is like asking chickens to vote for Col. Sanders. And, while speaking to a crowd, You have to excuse my "ums" and stuttering and otherwise sounding presidential.
Go see it asap, so Landmark Theaters, its distributor, wont close it down. It is not just another war flick. It is wrenching.
