George Mason drops SAT requirement for top applicants
George Mason University has decided after three years of research that the SAT is not a good indicator of collegiate success for high-achieving students and has opted to forgo the SAT score for those applicants. Starting this year, high school applicants with at least a 3.5 grade point average and who are in the top 20% of there class will not have to submit their SAT or ACT scores.   The Washington Times /Associated Press (free registration) (8/24)
