Im in the process of talking with Peratas office about his role, based on what George said about Ahnold and Perata getting their way. The guy I talked to was defensive, and told lies (golly, what a surprise). He said the decision not to test 2nd graders was simply a conversation between Jackie Goldberg and the Governator. No, it was a bill, SB 1448, that extended the whole testing program and excluded 2nd graders beginning in 07-08. When he signed SB 1448, the Gov commented that he didnt see why 2nd graders were excluded, but he signed it anyway. Peratas guy said about the current screwing that Perata made a deal with the Gov in order to get the budget passed.

If you have an explanation of the 2nd gr testing question, please post to ca-resisters.
