If you can attend this, it might be a good time to organize a protest and ask her some pointed questions, like why does she keep quoting lying stats about NAEP scores under NCLB, the Gap decreasing, etc. And what about dropouts and pushouts.

U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings to Keynote National Charter Schools Conference
US Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings has been confirmed as a keynote speaker during the closing General Session on April 27. She will join Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham and Kevin Johnson, former NBA basketball star and Founder/Chairman of the Board of St. HOPE Public Schools, as keynotes at the 7th National Charter Schools Conference, set for April 24 ñ 27 in Albuquerque. More than 3,000 charter school colleagues will convene in the "Land of Enchantment" to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the charter school movement. Hosted by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, the conference will feature more than 120 breakout sessions, focusing on Quality, Policy, Advocacy and Capacity.
