Re: Advice

Dear Michelle--

The GI Rights Hotline, 1-800-394-9544, is a great place to get accurate,
up-to-date information about options available to an AWOL soldier, and what
the likely consequences would be of pursuing any of those options. Hotline
counselors also provide emotional support and understanding, but don't give
advice per se, as their intent is to empower soldiers to make informed
decisions for themselves.

Information on GI Rights, Conscientious Objectors, and Military Discharges
is also available at: www.girights.org and www.GIdischarges.org

Very best wishes to this person!
