Dear All,

I just received a half sheet letter from my son's school's PTA (k-6) asking
for parent volunteers to help make State testing stress relief kits for the
students. At this point I have no idea what material would be included in this
kit.

I'm really appalled by the complacency and the accomodation of putting
students schoolwide under duress. Are there other schools or districts doing the
same? I've heard of rewarding the students with movies at the end of the
testing period, etc., and schools in our district contracting motivation speakers
for this event. My son has been exempted since k. He is now in fourth grade,
however, this makes me and my husband believe there should be a lawsuit for
putting children in emotional harms way.

I appreciate this forum for all the information shared.
Thanks,
Maria Almanzo
