This NPR story on 3 different schools may be a reflection of the
growing disenchantment with NCLB. NPR has been dubbed "Natl
Petroleum Radio" since it adopted a conservative tilt after the
Republican 1994 takeover of Congress. Its "news" coverage has been
little more than Republican Party and neoLiberal propaganda ever
since. This story is flat in that it offers no insight or critical
analysis, but it does describe with a human touch how social class
operates in schools and how the "extra" money given to poor schools
just doesn't cut it
