Thanks for posting this, George.

I looked into these numbers about 5 years ago, and got similar percentages
for several cohorts.

If you look at how many students are enrolled in 9th grade in any given
year, you'll find that four years later only about 2/3 that number of
students graduated.

Where are the remaining 1/3? Dead? In prison? Surviving in the
underground economy? Working at low-pay, low-skill jobs??
