To: network@edliberation.org

The Right To Learn campaign is a California youth-led movement of students
fighting for their right for a better education.

California's schools are already some of the worst in the country– 45 States
get more money per student. Now, politicians in Sacramento want to cut $5
billion from the education budget next year. That's the same as firing
107,000 teachers or throwing another 12 kids into a science class.

On Friday, April 18, more than 10,000 California students will rally together
as part of the Right To Learn Day of Action. Using the RightToLearnCA.org
website, students will organize individual actions at their schools.
Participation can take many forms. It can be as large scale as a school-wide
rally or as simple as gathering their peers to write letter to their
representatives during lunchtime. It is up to each individual school to
decide how they want to make their voices heard.

Parents, teachers, school board members, school employees and administrators
are already taking a stand against these budget cuts, but no one has yet to
involve the students. This is the chance for students to speak up, be heard,
and make a difference for themselves, their friends, and youth throughout
California.

We deserve better. Protect your Right To Learn. Join Right To Learn today at
www.RightToLearnCA.org to participate in the April 18 Day of Action!
