I agree with Marji. No note needed unless you want more information. It is nice to know that you do have a supportive principal which means you are not alone. What is your principal suggesting? Do you have a district Language Arts person that you can go to for discussion of alternative approaches? Let us know what happens periodically and feel free to turn to the entire list or any individuals for any help we can give you.

don't bother answering me individually. i've been in your shoes (anyone who hasn't should expect it at some point) and you have plenty to worry about besides nice individual notes. periodically, though, i'm sure we'd all appreciate an update.
