Life is wonderful. I wouldn't change my years in the classroom for anything, but I love being able to choose the classrooms I visit and projects I take on. I especially love offering help to less experienced teachers, especially those in my TAR group. We're reading Three Cups of Tea but rarely get to the book discussion. Our talk focusses on three classroom issues: instructional strategies, materials, and student reading worksamples. One of our group members looked at my book and said, "You actually have time to do what we're supposed to be teaching kids to do." It saddens me that so many teachers are so visibly struggling. Life is very exciting these days and I smile a lot. Seeds for writing are even floating into my mind again. Thanks for asking.
