I know I've seen many, many requests for places to submit outstanding student writing. This website (and current newsletter) came through on another list. http://www.fundsforwriters.com/writingkid.htm It's the most comprehensive list I've seen, and it appears to be legit contests, although many are limited by state. The overall website has many things for adult writers as well. It's interesting to think about how this type of effort (running a website like this) can be a full time job for someone.
