Mary-any urban district in Texas, other than Austin, ALWAYS has openings.  I
know he could get a job in Houston in a heartbeat-my own large middle school
has numerous openings every year.  He can apply online at Houston ISD
(www.houstonisd.org <http://www.houstonisd.org/> ), or, if you want to send
me his resume,  I can forward to my principal.

my sister asked me for help finding a job for a young teacher who's just
finishing up his student teaching. he's certified in social studies 6-12 and
PE K-12. he's received a number of awards for being an athlete/scholar and
is full of enthusiasm. he is interested in relocating to "colorado, georgia,
texas, the carolinas, or maryland." my sister thinks he'd be happiest in a
city school or rural school (as opposed to suburbs). If any of you know of
any openings, could you let me know off-list and i will let him know. i
could send a copy of his cover letter and resume for a look-see if you're
interested in that.
