Is anyone oout there interested in working on the Holcuast through reading and writing this year? I am teaching a unit on this and I would love to invite classes to joinn our web based classroom on nicenet.org and share writing about any subject, although we are focusing on narrative and expository. I was also wondering if anyone would like to read a book on the Holcaust, or two and become part of our literature circles? It is pretty easy if you have access to computers. I teach 6 periods and every class has their own room on nicenet5.org. I can give you the key code and a group reading a similar book could join the discussion or share pieces of writing and talk about how to improve it through a virtual workshop. I have a list a several books that most likely your libraries would have and that would make it easy or if you are really interested in working this unit I can give you a museum that sends out trunks of books.
