Debbie, I teach 8th grade but I know it helps to assign roles or duties for each student. Facilitator, time keeper, note taker, and leader. Spend a day making sure each student understands what you do when you have a job, and at the end hand out a group reflective grade sheet. Ask students to grade each other based on their performance. If they do not have a role then they are to be a contributor of information. Mary Meehan On Fri Jan 4 20:34 , Debbie Parker sent: Hi and happy new year! My team teachers agree with me that our kids don't seem to know "how" to work together.
