Re: poems for March Madness Poetry

Susan,

Just heard about this poet yesterday, and she read from her book on NPR's "Fresh
Air." The poems are very relative to us all. I hope I can download a podcast of
the interview by Terry Gross. She teaches today at Emory University.
"Natasha Trethewey was recently awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her poetry
collection Native Guard. Trethewey grew up bi-racial in Mississippi, and her
mother was murdered by her stepfather; these, along with the South, are recurring
themes in her poetry."
