There's a lot of research out there in support of the use of audiobooks. For
instance, in at-risk readers, using audio books can greatly increase their
comprehension, as decoding is not holding them back. It also assists in fluency
at just about every level.

The audiobook companies themselves have a lot of the research available
(surprise), but it is supported by others.

You might start with electronic databases and educational journals. This
topic frequently comes up on the school librarians' listserv, too.
