Re: switch to eighth grade/ MS
I switched to 7th gr. last year after several years loving 8th. I love it and
chose to stay now in gr. 7 even though I had the chance to go back to gr. 8. At
the beginning of the year, I found the kids to be very immature -- this took some
getting used to. however, it was worth it! I love how they are less jaded and I
could have a bigger impact on the 7th graders -- their immaturity varied in a
bigger sense than it had in gr. 8.

Hi everyone, I am making the transition from seventh grade English to eighth
grade English, from a junior high to a traditional middle school. I would like to
hear of any similar experiences, advice regarding behavior management, helpful
tips regarding the workload and curriculum, ideas fro general introductory
lessons/ ice breakers, etc. I feel like this is a different animal altogether,
and while I am super excited, I would just like to know what I may expect given
the change. I look forward to hearing from you. You may respond to my personal
email: karen_a99@hotmail.com . Thank you!!
