Re: summer reading together

Hello everyone,
I have been reading Adolescent Literacy; Turning Promise into Practice edited by Kylene Beers, Linda Rief, and Robert Probst. If there is anyone out there who would like to talk about this book, I am really dieing to discuss it. There is so much in that volume that holds such huge implications for the future of teaching the Language Arts that I really want to find out what others think. I am not the least bit surprised by the richness of the content since anything that seems to carry the names of Beers, Rief and Probst has similiar high quality. Wait until you see the names of the people who have contiributed chapters, then you too willknow how strong this volume is.

I must have missed this thread. Is it a fiction selection or a professional
book?
