I just ordered a set of Chew on This by Schlosser
(author of Fast Food Nation) & Wilson. Subtitle is
Everything You Don't Want to Know About Fast Food. It
is much more reader-friendly than FFN for middle
school. Does focus heavily on McDonalds, so that
might be a consideration in purchasing.

Have also bought a set of Nickle and Dimed on (Not)
Getting by in America by Barbara Ehrenreich. She
researches minimal wage jobs in three sections of the
US, posing as a waitress, a CNA, and a WalMart
employee. She shows an astonishing look at the
economic disparity in our country. Since I teach
alternative high school, it's very fitting for our
students. Again, I don't know if the content fits
middle school -- but it would be worth having a copy
or two, in my opinion . . . .

Also -- I'd love to get a copy of your final order
list. Can you send it to the list?? (or to me??)
