There's a novel called Titanic Crossing about 2 kids on the Titanic. probably a little below 7th gr. reading level, but appeals to and is accessible to 7th grade lower level readers. i use it in literature circles.

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking but not talking much--it seems there is just no time any more! If anyone has time to answer before leaving for the convention, I have a request from a reading teacher in my building. His team does an extensive unit on the Titanic, and he is looking for a 7th-grade novel set in the U.S. or Europe sometime around 1850-1915. He's a British literature fanatic, so he has all the great British authors in mind already, but he's reaching out for an adolescent novel. Any ideas? Thanks.
