Keep this circus going!Interversity is free (as in liberating) but not free (as in "without cost"). Interversity Teaching and Learning Cooperative provides a place where people can teach and learn what and how they like rather than how an institutions tells them to, but it takes time and resources to create the places where free teaching and learning can happen. Interversity Co-op is primarily supported by Interversity Inc, a business that provides online conversation and community development and management services. However, Interversity Inc is just a wee little one-person (me!) company with few resources and not much revenue. We hope everyone who wishes to use Interversity Co-op and to see it grow will give what they can and get what they need. Give time. Give money. Get liberty from institutional bureaucracies. Get opportunities to teach and to learn with the yokes removed. I like what Daniel Quinn says in Beyond Civilization:
If you intend to use the Interversity Coop website or discussion lists for projects you develop, we hope you'll consider tossing a bit (whatever you can afford and feel is appropriate; no minimum) into the hat. Every little bit helps. Thanks! Donations help defray the cost of Interversity's server, office supplies, etc., and the (when we can afford it) a little toward the labor involved in maintaining the server, helping develop/maintain projects, and providing assistance to anyone who has the need. |
